Pigs

While build-up in a pipeline can cause transmittal slows or even plugging of the pipeline, cracks or flaws in the line can be disastrous. A form of flow assurance for oil and gas pipelines and flowlines, pipeline pigging ensures the line is running smoothly.

Bare Foam Pigs

FOR DRYING PIPELINES

When pipeline maintenance calls for mild scraping, final drying or water removal after hydrostatic testing, select a Low, Medium or High-density bare poly foam pig. IK-UK bare poly foam pigs are made of durable, resilience flexible polyurethane foam ranging in density from 1½ to 10 lbs/cuft. IK-UK poly foam pigs resist mild acids, caustic solutions and hydrocarbons. Low density poly foam pigs are cylindrical with a chamfered nose and rear polyurethane seal. Medium and High-density models are cylindrical with a bullet nose and dished end.

Features Applications Options
  • Durable polyurethane foam construction
  • Flexible design
  • Can handle reductions in the pipeline
  • Custom sizes available
  • Drying and sweeping of loose debris
  • Gauging of internal pipe conditions
  • Batching and product removal
  • Sealing behind stuck pig
  • Handling rope/cable
  • Transmitter cavity
  • Bypass holes
  • Magnets
  • Double dish configuration
  • Custom dimensions

Criss Cross Foam Pigs

FOR EFFICIENT PIPELINE WIPING

Medium density or High-density criss-cross IK-UK poly foam pigs feature hard polyurethane bands spirally applied on tough polyurethane foam cores. Density ranges are 5–7lbs/cuft (Blue) and 8-10lbs/cuft (Dark Red). Both types easily turn 90° bends, cross tees and slip through valves. Medium or High-density criss-cross is ideal for new construction and on-stream cleaning. High density criss-cross models are recommended for extra cleaning or wiping on long pipeline runs.

Wirebrush Foam Pigs

Coated foam pigs are constructed of polyurethane foam with a durable polyurethane elastomer coating that is applied in a variety of patterns, with criss-cross being the most common.

Bi-directional Pigs (Disc Types)

Bi-Di Disc Pig

Bi-Di Brush Pig

Bi-Di Jetting Pig

Designed to remove debris and deposits from the pipeline, Bi-directional brush pigs offer excellent cleaning qualities. The range is comprehensive 2” through to 60”, with a variety of body constructions available. In sizes 2” up to 14” a spindle (bolt) body can be offered or alternatively the complete range up to 60” can be supplied as a multi bolt design.

The standard model is supplied with six polyurethane discs: two support/guide discs which assist loading and centralization in the pipeline, four sealing discs which seal/drive and two circular brushes which scrape.

Super Cast Pigs

Utilizing the same design objectives and construction material, the one-piece Super Cast  pipeline pig offers a logical cost alternative to poly foam pigs.

Available in diameters from 2″ – 12″, Super Cast Pig is the ideal product for a broad range of applications around refineries, chemical plants, oil pipelines, gas pipelines, and municipal utility lines.

Its soft durometer allows it to last ten times longer than poly foam pigs; it does not have the same disposal and contamination problems, it can easily negotiate 1.5R bends, bridge valves and tees without buckling, tearing, or shredding. The Super Cast Pig always exceeds task requirements and it takes fewer pigs to do it, run after run after run.

De-coking Pigs

Aggressive scraping of the hardest of pipeline deposits, our range of de-coking pigs offer 360° internal pipeline coverage and are custom made to suit your specific pipeline details.

As standard available sizes 2” through to 12”
